Comeback Day
Understand 컴백, 신곡, 무대, 콘서트 and 응원봉, and ask when the comeback is and what time the concert starts.
From English 'comeback', with a narrower meaning. You'll see it in every announcement.
신 means 'new' and 곡 means 'a piece of music'. A 컴백 brings a 신곡.
The physical stage, and also one performance on it — 'today's 무대' means today's performance.
Three English syllables become four Korean blocks, because Korean needs a vowel after s and t.
응원 is the 'cheering' you met in 응원해요; 봉 is a stick. A cheering stick.
언제 means 'when'. Same pattern again as 뭐예요? and 누구예요? — only the question word changes.
있어요? ('do you have…?') is the pattern you used in the shop: 파란색 있어요?
Episode 2 of 3 — the same two fans, on the day of the concert (original scene)
Say it out loud
Listen, then repeat aloud. Matching the rhythm matters more than perfection.
Why? 컴백 doesn't mean what you think
In English a 'comeback' is a return after a long absence. In Korean, 컴백 is simply a new release — a group can have a 컴백 three months after the last one. If a notice says 컴백, it means new music is coming, not that anyone went away. The words here are mostly loanwords, which makes them a good reading test: sound them out block by block and you'll hear the English underneath — 콘서트, 컴백.
